RAVIOLI IN WHITE WINE SAUCE
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1/4 Cup minced onion
4 tsp. minced garlic
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. white wine
16 oz. Supremo® Mexican Style Crema from V&V SUPREMO®
2 oz. Grated Sierra® Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
5 oz. Shredded Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese or Oaxaca Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
1/4 Cup chopped basil, plus more for garnish
18 meat ravioli
Method of Preparation
- Pre-heat oven to 400⁰F.
- Sauce: Pre-heat a small saucepan for 2 minutes over medium heat. Lower heat to medium-low. Add butter and onions. Sauté onions for 2 minutes. Add garlic. Sauté for 1 minute. Add pepper, nutmeg, and wine. Reduce for 1 minute.
- Stir in sour cream, 1 oz. Cotija Cheese, and 2 oz.Chihuahua® cheese. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low. Simmer sauce for 8 minutes. Stir occasionally. Stir in basil.
- Pour 1 cup of sauce on bottom of baking dish. Lay ravioli on sauce. Pour the remaining sauce over.
- Sprinkle 3 oz. Chihuahua® cheese on ravioli. Top with 1 oz. Cotija cheese.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Place under broiler until cheese becomes golden brown. Garnish with basil.
