While alphabet soup is a classic for kids, this version boosts up the flavor with our sour cream and fresh cheese. Delicious.
Ingredients

½ box (6 oz.) alphabet pasta

½ cup onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 Tbsp. corn oil
-
½ tsp. dried oregano
-
1 dash fresh ground black pepper
-
1 can (28 oz.) whole tomatoes
-
3 cups chicken broth
-
salt to taste

1 cup Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®

1 cup V&V SUPREMO® Brand Queso Fresco Cheese , crumbled
5 Steps to complete

1Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and reserve.

2Place saucepan over medium heat for 1 minute. Add oil. After one more minute, add onions. And saute for 3 minutes, stirring. Add garlic cook for 1 minute. Remove saucepan from heat.

3Place tomatoes, oregano, and chicken broth in the blender. Blend well.

4Pour tomato puree into the onions. Place mixture on medium heat. Bring puree to boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add pasta, salt and pepper to taste.

5Ladle soup and top with sour cream and cheese.
