This traditional combination of refried beans and chorizo goes well with any dish or as an appetizer with chips or filling for some delicious tacos.

    Preheat a skillet over medium heat for 1 minute. Add the oil and heat for 1 minute. Add onions and sauté for 30 seconds. Add garlic and cook for 10 more seconds.

    Drain beans. Reserve broth. Add beans into the skillet with the onions and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes.

    Preheat another skillet for 2 minutes over medium heat. Remove plastic casing from chorizo and cook for 6-8 minutes, breaking up with spoon while cooking. Add the cooked chorizo to the bean mixture along with the bean broth. Mix well and mash the beans over medium heat and cook for 5 more minutes.

    Place mixture in a serving dish, garnish with Queso Fresco. Serve as a dip with chips.
