The inspiration for this Burritos Norteños dish comes from North of Mexico. It is easy to prepare, very wholesome, and its main feature is its display of variety of ingredients wrapped inside a tortilla.
Ingredients
-
4 10 Inch flour tortillas
-
1 cup refried beans
-
1 (14 oz.) Pkg. Supremo® Brand Pork Chorizo from V&V SUPREMO®
-
2 cups Shredded Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
-
½ cup Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®
-
½ head iceberg lettuce, sliced
-
¾ cup pico de gallo
6 Steps to complete
-
1Preheat a medium skillet over medium heat for 1 minute. Remove the plastic casing from the Chorizo and cook for 10-12 minutes, breaking up while cooking. Set aside.
-
2Place refried beans in saucepan over medium heat. Stir often. Keep warm.
-
3Place a large non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Heat the tortillas for 30 seconds on each side. Tortillas should be heated just enough to soften them.
-
4Spread ¼ portion of the beans off-center on each tortilla. Top with the same amount of cooked chorizo, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, and pico de gallo.
-
5Fold covering ingredients. Fold sides inward and roll the rest of the tortilla.
-
6Place burrito seam side down back in skillet over low heat for 2 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
