The iconic Caesar Salad was first served in the 1920’s at the Hotel Caesar in Tijuana, Mexico. Our take on this classic recipe introduces authentic Mexican flavor with Cotija Cheese and Supremo® Sour Cream in a homemade dressing.
Ingredients
Dressing:

1 cup Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®

1 clove garlic, crushed
-
1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
-
½ tsp. hot sauce
-
4 canned anchovy fillets
-
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
-
1½ Tbsp. fresh lime juice
-
½ cup Grated Sierra® Brand Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
Salad
4 Steps to complete

1Place Sour Cream, garlic, mustard, hot sauce and anchovies in a blender. Blend for 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth.

2Add oil, lime juice, and Cotija Cheese. Blend for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until dressing is smooth.

3In a large bowl; toss chopped lettuce with 1 cup dressing. Transfer dressed salad to a serving bowl or platter. Top with croutons and Cotija cheese.

4Serve Caesar Salad with extra dressing on the side and enjoy!
