Cheese Stuffed Tots Recipe are crispy golden treats! With the delicious dairy flavor of Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream, Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese, from V&V SUPREMO®, and Grated Sierra® Brand Cotija Cheese, these wonderful potato tots an easy to make crowd-pleaser.

¼ cup Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®

¼ cup Grated Sierra® Brand Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
-
¾ cup Shredded Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®

¼ tsp. ground black pepper

2 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed

1 (4.5 oz. wedge) Sierra Brand Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®

4 cups oil for frying

1In a medium sauté pan; add Sour Cream and heat over medium-low heat for 2 minutes. Add Grated Cotija and Chihuahua® Cheese, black pepper, mix well and cook for 1 minute or until cheese is melted. Add hash browns, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Evenly spread potato mixture onto a tray, and cool for 5 minutes in refrigerator.

2Cut Cotija cheese into ¾-inch x ½-inch cubes and set aside until needed.

3Measure 1 heaping tablespoon potato mixture, place 1 piece Cotija cheese in the center, and form a short cylinder around cheese. Freeze Cheese Tots for a minimum of 30 minutes or up to a day in advance.

4In a wide heavy-bottom pot; heat oil for 12 to 14 minutes over medium heat or until oil reaches 400°F.

5Remove Cheese Stuffed Tots from freezer and fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until Tots are golden and reach an internal temperature of 135°F. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel, serve, and enjoy!
