Cotija Cilantro rice is a delicious side dish that complements all of your favorite main dishes from V&V Supremo®. Grated Sierra Cotija adds the sharp flavor of aged cheese to this tasty side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 1¾ cups water
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
- ¼ tsp. garlic powder
- ¼ tsp. onion powder
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- ¾ cup Grated Sierra® Brand Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
- 3 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
3 Steps to complete
- 1Using a sieve or colander; rinse rice under running water until water runs clear.
- 2In a saucepan; combine water salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and lime juice. Bring to a boil over high heat. Add rice, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes.
- 3Remove from heat and allow rice to rest covered for 5 minutes. Gently fold in Cotija Cheese and cilantro. Serve Cotija Cilantro Rice with all of your favorite recipes from V&V Supremo® and enjoy!
