Have you tried Mexican Street Corn? Street vendors sell delicious sweet corn on the cob, or elotes, all over Mexico and the USA. Our version of this recipe includes Sour Cream and grated Cotija Cheese from V&V Supremo®.
Ingredients
-
6 ears sweet corn, husked
-
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
-
1 cup Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®
-
1 cup Grated Sierra® Brand Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
-
2 Tbsp. chili lime salt
-
Fresh lime wedges
3 Steps to complete
-
1Place the corn in a large pot with enough water to cover. Bring water to a boil over high heat, cover, reduce heat to medium high, and cook for 15 minutes or until tender.
-
2Remove corn from water and transfer to a plate or tray lined with paper napkin.
-
3Working over a plate or bowl; spread each ear of corn with melted butter and sour cream on all sides. Dredge with Cotija Cheese to coat the whole ear of corn. Season with chili lime salt to taste. Serve dressed Elotes with fresh lime wedges and enjoy.
