Who doesn’t love meatballs? They’re easy to make and taste great. Give a twist to a traditional dish with new flavors and aromas by adding pork chorizo to the beef.
Ingredients

2 slices stale bread, diced
-
½ cup Supremo® Brand or Chihuahua® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®
-
1 lb ground beef sirloin
-
1 link from 14 oz. Supremo® Brand Pork Chorizo from V&V SUPREMO®
-
4 Tbsp. Grated Sierra® Brand Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
-
4 tsp. fresh mint, chopped
-
1 large egg
-
1 Tbsp. dried oregano
-
1 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
-
½ tsp. (or to taste) salt

1 (8 oz.) pkg. 1 (8 oz.) pkg. V&V SUPREMO® Brand Queso Fresco Cheese, cubed

4 cups salsa of your choice
7 Steps to complete

1Mix bread and cream in a bowl, let stand for 15 minutes.

2Mix all meatball ingredients in another bowl except for queso fresco cheese.

3Form meatballs making each ball about 2 ounces. Place 2 cubes of cheese in each meatball.

4Preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat for 3 minutes. Place meatballs in the skillet rotating until they start to brown evenly.

5Place a large saucepan over medium heat. Add salsa of your choice. Cover and bring to a boil, about 15 minutes.

6Place meatballs in the sauce, turn heat to low, cover pan and simmer for 20 minutes.

7Serve meatballs with Queso Fresco on top and enjoy!
