Bring the flavor of Mexico City street food to your table. These Mexican Style Hot Dogs are topped with classic Mexican-style fixings. ¡Delicioso!
Ingredients
- 8 bacon slices
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 (8 oz.) package V&V SUPREMO® Queso Fresco Cheese
- 8 hot dog buns
- 1 Cup Avocado Cream
- 2 Cups Pico de Gallo
6 Steps to complete
- 1Preheat a griddle or a non-stick pan over medium heat for 1 minute.
- 2Meanwhile, roll the bacon around the hot dog by spiraling it around the hot dog from one end to the other. The bacon should stick to the hot dog without a toothpick, but you can use one if desired.
- 3Place the hot dogs on the hot griddle until bacon is crispy on all sides, approximately 5 minutes. Turning often with tongs.
- 4Slice V&V SUPREMO® Queso Fresco Cheese into 8 slices. Place the cheese on the griddle and sear for 1 minute on each side. Remove and set aside.
- 5Place the hot dog buns on a microwave safe plate. Cover with a damp paper towel and place in the microwave for 40 seconds.
- 6Spread both sides of the hot dog buns with the Avocado Cream Sauce prepared with Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO® place the hot dog along with one slice of cheese, and top with Pico de Gallo. Enjoy!
