The Open Faced Caramel Pecan Sandwich, or mollete, is a fast and filling after school snack. Caramel, pecans, and delicious melted Chihuahua® Quesadilla Cheese are delicious in this sweet treat!
Ingredients
- 1 French bread loaf, cut in half lengthwise
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1½ cups Shredded Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
- ¼ cup pecan, chopped
- ¼ cup caramel sauce, warmed
4 Steps to complete
- 11. Pre-heat oven to 425F.
- 2Place bread on a baking tray, spread 1 tablespoon softened butter evenly across each French bread half. Top with a heaping ¼ cup Chihuahua® cheese, 1 tablespoon pecans, an additional ¼ cup cheese, and 1 additional tablespoon pecans.
- 3Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
- 4Drizzle warm caramel over toasted sandwich, serve, and enjoy!
