9 Steps to complete
-
1Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
-
2Combine butter, sugar, orange zest, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 1 minute or until you have a smooth and creamy consistency. Add the flour in 2 parts and mix until incorporated, fold in Chihuahua cheese.
-
3Roll out the cookie dough onto a floured surface and cut out round shapes to ¼” thickness. Place them on a cookie tray. Roll out remaining dough and continue to cut out round shapes.
-
4Bake cookies for 15-17 minutes. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and allow to then cool at room temperature.
-
5Vanilla frosting: In a small bowl, add butter, sour cream, vanilla extract, and sugar. Whisk ingredients until smooth and set aside.
-
6Ganache: In a small microwave-safe bowl, add sour cream, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips. Microwave ingredients for 15 seconds and whisk until smooth, set aside.
-
7Spread an even layer of vanilla frosting on the round shaped cookies.
-
8Add the chocolate ganache into a piping bag with a small round tip and pipe on a skeleton head onto the vanilla coated cookies.
-
9Let cookies sit out so the frosting and ganache can slightly harden. Serve and enjoy!!!
