Ingredients
- ½ lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®
- ½ cup Grated Sierra® Brand Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
- ½ cup panko bread crumbs
- ¼ cup white onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, minced
- 2 cups jarred roasted garlic pasta sauce or sauce of your choice
- 4 mini French baguettes
- 8 slices Sliced Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
4 Steps to complete
- 1Preheat oven at 350F.
- 2In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, sour cream, Cotija cheese, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
- 3Divide mixture into 16 pieces and shape into about 1 inch meatballs. Place the meatballs on a sheet tray with a rack and bake for 25 minutes.
- 4To assemble the sandwiches, spread about 2 Tbsp. of the sauce on the inside of the top and bottom of the baguette. Place 2 slices of cheese on each baguette and place 4 meat balls inside. Place sub in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese has melted, about 4-5 minutes. Add 1 Tbsp. of sauce on top of melted cheese and serve immediately. Enjoy!
