A classic dessert found all over Mexico, this Rice Pudding is a delight to make as it is to taste!
Ingredients
- 2 3 inch pieces of cinnamon (Preferably Mexican cinnamon)
- 1½ cups long grain rice
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- ¾ cup raisins
- 15 oz. Chihuahua® Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
5 Steps to complete
- 1Place 3 cups of water and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to boil.
- 2Add rice and stir. Cover the saucepan, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes.
- 3Uncover and add all other ingredients to rice except ground cinnamon. Stir occasionally and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 4Remove from heat. Let cool before serving. Pudding will thicken as it cools.
- 5Serve and sprinkle ground cinnamon on top.
